The problem
About a Clogged Toilet
An occasional toilet clog is normal, but one that keeps backing up, especially when other drains act up too, usually points to a blockage deeper in your plumbing. That's when it's time to bring in the Drain Nerds.
Signs to watch for
- Water rises instead of flushing down
- Repeated clogs after plunging
- Gurgling in the tub or shower when you flush
- Slow, weak flush
Common causes
- Too much paper or a flushed object
- A blockage in the branch or main line
- Older, narrowing pipes
- Tree roots in the sewer line
How we fix it
We find out whether the clog is in the toilet, the branch line, or the main sewer, often with a camera, then clear it properly instead of just pushing it further down the line.
